Christians live their lives with an earnest
expectation of heaven. Hope is defined as desire plus expectation. Heaven
should be that which is so desired that it is hard to think of anything else.
It is so often the case that when we take our eyes off the prize or begin to
lose focus that we fall or surrender to temptation (Mt. 14:28-30). However, a
reward awaits the faithful in Christ, and we should keep our eyes focused on
our Lord’s return (Phil. 3:14). For with it, He will bless those who no doubt
look forward to His return.
